I am a psychotherapist who excels at connecting with people and making them feel at ease. I’m known by my clients to be warm, engaged, humorous, direct, and compassionate. I approach therapy as an interactive process and enjoy working with individuals to develop a plan that works for them. I believe it is a privilege to sit with people who allow me to bear witness to their lives, stressors, and pain. I have great appreciation for embracing the "and" that life often presents, and helping clients to recognize and tolerate that we often experience conflicting emotions simultaneously. My clinical orientation is eclectic, focusing on Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Interpersonal Therapy.
I also specialize in suicide prevention, intervention and postvention, and working with survivors of suicide loss. I have extensive training in helping people who are struggling with thoughts of suicide or who are concerned about a friend or family member. Loss of a loved one to suicide is a unique, overwhelming and at times isolating experience. I offer support, comfort, and understanding as you traverse your grief. I look forward to working with you!
